Sawce Games is a small independent game studio in Brazil. This page explains what this website collects, which is very little, and what you can do about it.
We do not ask you for anything in order to read this site. There is no account, no login and no newsletter, and you can read every page here without telling us who you are. There is one exception and it is the contact form on the business contact page. It is the only place this site asks you for anything, you only meet it if you go looking for it, and the next three paragraphs are about it.
The contact form collects three things, and only when you decide to send it: your name, your email address, and the message you write. Those three things are put into an email and sent to the studio mailbox at the bottom of this page. Nothing is written to this website's database, no file is kept on the server, and the form sets no cookie.
The form checks that a person filled it in, and it does that without help from anybody else. It looks at how long the page was open before you pressed send, and it carries a hidden field that a person never sees and never fills in. Neither check records anything about you, neither one uses a cookie, and neither one asks another company anything. There is no CAPTCHA here and no part of this page is loaded from a third party.
Your message lives in our email inbox, the same way any other email does, and it stays there while we are dealing with it. We delete it once the conversation is finished, or sooner if it turns out to be spam. We do not add you to any list, and we use your address for one thing only, which is answering you.
We would like to count visits, and only if you agree. We use Google Analytics to see how many people read the devlog and which projects people look at. It stores a cookie in your browser and shares your visit with Google, which is why we ask first. Nothing is loaded and no cookie is set until you click Allow. If you say no, or ignore the question, the site works exactly the same and Google never hears from your browser at all.
You can change your mind at any time. There is a Cookie choice button at the bottom of every page. It clears your answer and asks again. If you had previously allowed it, analytics stops loading from the next page you visit. To have data Google already holds removed, you would need to ask Google directly.
Your choice is not itself a cookie. We remember it in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data clears it.
Our web host keeps server logs. Like every website, ours runs on a server that records the addresses of requests it receives, including your IP address, so that it can be operated and kept secure. We do not use those logs to identify or profile anybody.
We do not sell anything about you, and we do not share anything beyond what is described above.
If you want to ask about any of this, write to us at contact@sawcegames.com.
